Yep, since when does a criminal follow the rules: No guns allowed. For this reason alone, I will have at least my little "pug" with me anywhere.
Guys, watch out... gun control discussion is prohibited.
Point taken and my post is not intended to bring up gun control. Its an explanation for the question I raised yesterday asking when and how military bases became disarmed. I won't invite any debate on the topic further. I'll take down the post so as not to bring any controversy.
I'll say this... there's an awful lot I want to say about the Navy Yard shooting, most of it summed up in your last post.
I just don't want anyone to catch any flack...
I'm glad I got to see your post, though!
Action is always faster than reaction. Some guy comes through a gate and starts shooting the guards are already at a disadvantage. A moments hesitation and they're toast. We have an Air Force base in town and the entrances have 2 guys with sidearms and another guy in a building. if someone came in heavily armed and determined the first two guys would be dead.
Don't Monday morning quarterback a situation you don't know.
Oh, not trying to MMQ it at all. There's just a lot I can't say/questions I can't ask because of forum policy.
But I will be stating my concerns to and asking questions of my legislators.
I definitely agree that action is faster than reaction. And determination can certainly override preparedness.
