    Yes pay attention to the advice from a doctor.
    If they say six weeks -- believe them.

    Boxers have a rule of thumb... 1% a day for cuts
    incurred in the ring to heal. About three+ months.

    I can tell you from experience that tearing stitches
    is not a good idea.

    Not a big TV guy really. I have enough razors to keep me busy and my brother-in-law in Oregon wants to send me his 6-7 razors to clean up and hone and a friend I recently got hooked on straight razors has three or four he wants to send me. Heck I should be able to hone like Lynn and Glen by then huh? Not!

    I always follow doctors orders for something like this as I understand why they want you to rest.
    I research everything so I have read up quit a bit on hernia surgery. I should have been a researcher.

    Thanks Otto. I have hundreds of books on my Kindle but I have just not been in a reading mood.
