No doubt, sorry bout that Pixel. I kept wondering to myself if it was the story or the song that was most touching my answer ended up being both. I can imagine it was much more difficult for you with such a personal connection to the song.

Nice. Always good to see positivity and dedication in the world as well as a fathers love. Can't understand how anyone could respond negatively to this or not have it touch something inside.

Nothing un manly about crying,I watched a utube the other day about princess Dianas funeral, when elton john did a candle in the wind.it brought tears to my eyes.
My wife spent 12 hrs in the E.R a few mos back, severe chest pain,i thought she was going to die,I went out to have a smoke and had a good cry.I prayed to god that she would be okay,it worked, shes fine today.
My youngest girl child is getting married in a few mos.when I give her away to the fine young man she will be wed to,I will cry like a baby.

Thank you pixelfixed. Nice to have someone reaffirm what you believe to be true.

I dunno GI, a guy gets injured and his dad helps him out... Unless I'm missing something that's something any father would do. I passed, but then again I don' t find sports that emotionally involving.

As a Father of two kids I think it's important for them to experience failure. You don't want to shield it from them. But I also want them to know that I love them and will be there to help them through it, to help them learn from it and to help them move forward. If it were my Son I would have help him finish the race.

Powerful and emotional, the song, by Dennis Jernigan I believe, is being sung to his father (in heaven) and is powerful in itself.
Although I've seen some very well made videos concerning war and social injustice, (they are out there) I agree with Jimbo, they just don't seem to get the airtime as others.

The value and interest of life is not so much to do conspicuous things.........as to do ordinary things with the perception of their enormous value.

Nice moment, the father son bond was touching.

Now this one has always got me, about our friends down under, and millions of young men:
