I found 1844 belts at a local work wear place. They are .25 inch thick stiff leather. I bought two of them at $21.00 ea. Been carrying 1911 gov in a Galco fletch for about 9 months. Then went to my 1911 commander in high noon horseriding Iwb. These belts are holding up better than anything I have used before. I've been ccw instructor and carrying for about 20 yrs.
