Thanked: 3223I was 10 in Grade 5 when we were told in class of JFKs assassination and were sent home early from school.
Never did believe there was a single shooter or the Warren Commission Report as I got older. I believe there was and still is a cover up. I will never live to see the truth of it.
Yes, the Eisenhower quote is as true today as when he spoke it.

Not that I'm old or anything, but I was driving down the road when I heard the news. I had to pull over. Maybe if we'd had Obamacare back then he would have survived.

I was in 9th grade. Classes were gathered together, the shocking announcement made, and we were sent home.
I think that Oswald did it alone using the cheapest mail order scoped rifle available at that time. Not the mark of a pro.
I have shot the Carcano rifle and it works. I remember seeing them being sold in discount stores for less than $ 10, but no one wanted them because they were not easy to sporterize for hunting.
I also visited the Dallas Texas Book Depositary and looked out the window onto the street. The slow motorcade was a close shot and heading straight away from the shooter. A technically easy shot for a determined assassin.

On my way to class, 15 years old, walking down the hall with my buddy O'Brien. A kid ran up to us, he had been in the office and heard it over a radio. Said the president had been shot. We both started punching him in the arms and pushing him into lockers. He cried and said he wasn't lying. Went on to class, 8th grade, and it came over the loud speaker. The president was dead. Girls, maybe some guys started crying. I asked permission to go to the 'rest room' and it was given. I went in to the head and smoked a couple of Camels and went back to class. We were dismissed to go home IIRC.
The then president inherited the Bay of Pigs invasion. Whether he promised to give air cover to the insurgents, or not, the CIA and the Cubans they spent a couple of years training thought that he did. If you weren't around then you cannot conceive of how virulently anti communist this country was at that time. We lost 58,000 in Viet Nam because of it.
Those CIA guys, that trained those men developed deep personal ties with them. Then they saw them killed or captured on that beach, no navel or air support forthcoming. Kennedy left them 'twisting in the wind.' The House Committee on Assassinations in the '80s, which did conclude that there was a conspiracy, had the amazing revelation come forth that the CIA and the Mafia, worked together conspiring to kill Fidel Castro. This wouldn't have even been accepted as a film script it was so unbelievable ..... but it was true.
It is known that Sam Giancana delivered Chicago to Kennedy in the presidential election. He wouldn't have won without that. Now RFK was vigorously after organized crime. Carlos Marcello, mafia chief in New Orleans is reputed to have said 'if you cut off the head, the tail will stop wagging.' So there were tight connections between the CIA guys involved with the anti Castro campaign and the mafioso who were hired to kill Fidel. Both those groups had motive, means and opportunity to do this, and, as they did with the Castro plot, work together to make it happen.
The limousine was a crime scene. It was immediately delivered to Ford in Dearborn where the windshield was replaced and the interior completely cleaned, if not replaced. JFK's autopsy was botched at best, phony at worst. The president of the United States BRAIN IS MISSING ! No, I don't mean our current president ...... I mean that we cannot examine Kennedy's brain for bullet fragments because it 'disappeared' shortly after the autopsy. What is that about ?
By the way, if you know anything about ballistics, and the characteristics of full metal jacket military rounds ...... what was in the Carcano, and how they behave in terms of damage ....... the head shot seems to me to have been a high velocity frangible varmint round of the 220 Swift, 22-250 type. Blowing away a quarter of the president's skull, and a third of his brain. None of the other wounds showed that type of damage.
J.Edgar Hoover said that Oswald was a lone nut and a loser, who wanted a 'place in history, yet he denied shooting anyone. The J.D. Tippet killing is far from open and shut let alone the assassination of the president. According to attorney Mark Lane (Rush To Judgment) there was not enough evidence to even indict let alone convict Oswald. He was interrogated by the Dallas police and the FBI for over 12 hours. Want to read the transcript ? THERE ISN"T ANY !
Oswald's marine career is also interesting. He was radar operator stationed on an airbase in Itsugi, Japan, that the U-2 spy planes flew out of. The same that Francis Gary Powers was flying, out of the same airbase, when he was shot down in the Soviet Union. What kind of security clearance would a man need to be assigned to such a job in that base ? A base where CIA was known to operate.
Unfortunately we can never ask Oswald. A night club owner with ties to organized crime walked into the parking garage of the Dallas police at the precise time that they were transferring him to "safer" facilities and shot him dead. Anyway ...... the duck rule ..... if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck. I don't think there was a "lone assassin."
Edit; If a guy was going to attempt something like this would he only bring 3 cartridges with him ? That was how many shell casings were found. No ammo found in any place Oswald lived or frequented.Last edited by JimmyHAD; 11-17-2013 at 02:39 AM.

Thanked: 2027What was in the Carcano? 6.5 low velocity rnd. Was a computor enhanced sound track done a few yrs back.
3 shots fired in a matter of seconds, you cannot cycle a Carcano that fast, not possible.Than you have enterance and exit wounds.
The sham autopsy report said the neck wound was an exit wound B.S, thats what took JFKs head off,the back of his head that Jacky carried into the hospital. We will never find out what happend, our government will never let us find out the truth

I am not much a fan of conspiracy theories but even I would say that whoever did it, it probably wasn't Oswald, or at least not him alone and out of the blue.
The circumstances surrounding him, the case against him and his death are just too far fetched to be anywhere near believable.
I still hope we get a deathbed confession sometime.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

As I was not born until 1965, I maintain, and have for many years, that I shot kennedy from the grassy knoll with my red ryder BB gun. All other claim and conspiracy theories are damned lies. My motive, he was the only democrat my parents ever admitted to having voted for.
Actually, he was not my target... Jackie and her silly pillbox hat were, he was just collateral damage.

I was peddling my tricycle done the sidewalks of South Florida, with a loaded cap gun on my side(I've always carried when I hit the streets).
I believe Oswald was a lone shooter.

I wasn't even born yet. Actually...since I believe in reincarnation...
I was riding in an open limousine with my wife down a Dallas street. Just doing my job, really; waving to people, keeping spirits up. They needed this, so soon after that little issue with Cuba. We were on our way to yet another political function with the governor and his wife. We rounded a corner into a nice central park kind of area -- Delly place, Dilly plaza or some such. I don't really remember.
We drove a block or so -- you'll have to pardon me if the details are a bit hazy -- when I suddenly got a splitting headache. Things get weird after that, just a scramble of feelings really, and start to fade. I think I died or something.
