I cannot choose between them, they both have there place, they both have influenced music.
Much of it is pending on my mood as to what I listen to and some of it can be a bit out there.
Granted I also listen to classical although some of my favorites are a bit more obscure like Dietrich Buxtehude.
    So I choose option 3.

Not that the Beatles were terrible but I've just never been a huge fan. The Stones on the other hand, I totally dig. Speaking of which, today is Keith Richards' seventieth birthday. If he can make it to 70, a clean living tea totaler like me can live for at least a couple hundred years.

For me it's the Beatles. The individual song writing talents were good enough for them to have successful solo careers.

Love both bands but it's really not close. The Beatles. For way too many reasons to list here.

Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.

I would have to say the stones. I was young and loved the music. My dad was born in 1922 and he liked the show they put on. when the stones were on TV the show was something he and I watched together. when I hear them they bring back good memories.

Ah, but you're discounting the preservative effects of pickling.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Not a big fan of either. I prefer Rush and blues like SRV.

Cool thread! In all honesty the answer is pretty easy for me, The Beatles, what they accomplished in the 10 years or less they spent together will never be surpassed..........
