You can use an old fridge for hone storage; keep your rocks cool.

Had an old fridge with that push button defroster. Our button stuck in one day and the inside panel In The freezer compartment started to melt.
Panicked and pulled the plug. Stripped it all down to see they used an actual heater element to defrost that mad ice build up on the coils. Sort of like an aquarium heater but way more windings..
Pulled it all out, put the melted inner wall back in and fridge kept on working. Defrosting became a nightmare thereafter. Think it was an Amana, or some such brand.

People don't understand that a frost free refrigerator can frost up if the door is left ajar...

It is getting old but 99+% of the time that will take care of it.

We will find out tomorrow morning for sure.

P.S. I did adjust the door and informed SWMBO to not put so much heavy stuff in the door.
You may have to take stuff off the door in the middle of the night. "... but it did do that in the dtore, this just started...,etc"

    Default Soldering low lead brass

If you solder any plumbing fixtures and use the new ones that are no/low lead you might be interested in this.

I was taught some of the tricks and didn't understand them that use to work.

Sounds like I for one won't be trying to solder water pipes and fittings. How did we ever live so long with the older materials?

FYI. If you are interested.... The refrigerator is working for now but it has been decided we need a new one.

Better to be looking when we don't need one immediately though!
