I caught a fishing pole!

I stepped outside to urinate and it was below 0'F so I didn't take long. As I was out Doug walked to the other end of the fishouse and his pole disappeared down the hole into the water. As I walked back in my rattle reel went off and when I pulled the fish up I noticed another hook on the ice. When I pulled the line from that hook up I pulled his pole back out of the water. Our holes were about 7 feet apart.

You catch it, you keep it, right? Unless, of course, it was too small.

Fishing as a group we combine catches and share the total catch. So I decided to share my catch with him and enable him to continue to contribute to the communal bucket which in this case was a communal empty beer case. We were 4- 5 miles out on the lake and rode out in a Bombardier from the resort and left our extra bucket in the truck. Our beer to fish catch ratio was pretty high so we used what was on hand!
