    Default Phillip Seymour Hoffman RIP

Mr. Hoffman was found dead in his New York apartment today after a friend called
    emergency services.

RIP Phillip. Your mastery of your craft made you a favorite actor of mine and many others.

This is so sad, he was one of the greatest actors. I count myself lucky to have seen him on stage.

The loss of life is always a sorrowful thing to see, as much as the sorrow of the family that lives with loss. He was a great talent, and I'll miss him in the movies. Drugs are the scourge of Man. RIP.

Sometimes I think I am too old to get it. And not just Hoffman but many excellent actors, performers and comic's over the years. Your elevator of life arrives at the top floor and the process of self destruction take reins and your life is ended with no regard for family or friends.

I was hoping to see him again in the next "Hunger Games" movie. I dont care who they replace him with it wont work. Loved the part he played alongside Tom Hanks in "Charlie Wilson's War", he stole the show.

It's not age Bob,,,Hoffman was there for us in the movies; it just seems like there was nobody there for him when he needed it.

Yes, it is a tragedy. The first movie I saw him in was "Twister" one of my favorite parts was when he was explaining "The suck zone" lol He played all his parts very well both villain and not.

Wow, that comes as a shock, I didn't know until now. He even got me to watch most of a movie about a musical quartet, which ordinarily wouldn't be my thing.

You just wonder why someone who had so much going for him would succumb to drugs. I just don't get it. We all go through periods in our lives that are unbearable.
