"Quote" of the day
I am sure there are plenty of people around here who enjoy a good quote. I know I sure do. Thought it would be nice to have a place to collect them. Quotes about anything from music, art, literature, nature, family, love, wet shaving/straight razors and everywhere in between are welcome. So long as they are clean, of course.
Being a very big fan of learning/education and the Blues, this quote has always meant something to me:
"The beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you." -B.B. King

One of my favorites:
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, and die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. - Robert A. HeinleinThe older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.
