    Default Camping Info

Hello everyone, My family and I are wanting to go camping for the first time and we were wanting to go to a beach location, we were thinking Florida but finances prohibit that so we were looking maybe somewhere in the Carolinas? or something but we don't know where the good places are, (like campgrounds and such) and were wondering if anyone here knows some places? any info will be a huge help. I would like my kids very first camping trip to be something special

For beach camping, there is no better than Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina! It is the state's flagship state park, sitting on a wild and beautiful 5000 acre sea island. It is an area of stunning natural beauty, with much to see and explore. And Beaufort, Charleston, and Savannah are nearby as well. My family, and years ago my Scouts, have had some memorable camp outs there.

Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan was fun for my family. A little closer to home for you. I could give you a few ideas of beaches in Wisconsin and Minnesota also.

Second to the Warren Dunes. Lots of parks along Lake Michigan, and they all have great beaches with the same quality of sand as those in Florida.
