Thanked: 324I make my own arrows. These days I use carbon shafting more than anything else, but I've still got homemade woodies and a couple dozen cured ash for some primitive shafts.

That's real old school Robert. Nice tradition to keep up. How do you come by it? The reason I ask is that I've heard the proper way to make a good archer is to teach his grandfather how to use a bow. Are you a 'good' bowman or are you preparing for your grandson's rise to glory?

Thanked: 324Well, I don't have a grandson yet, but I've competed (and not placed in the top 5) twice, despite a few State Championships. LOL. I always find a way to blow it at the biggest shoot of the year - but so do about 30 other guys in my class each year, too.
