    Default Eric Clapton

    Gents,

If you love guitars, then you need to check out Eric Clapton on his current tour. I purchased my ticket in December, and last night I enjoyed a concert to remember. Opening was Robert Cray, someone I have listened to since the late '70's. And then...Eric Clapton. The man is amazing. And his band? All headliners in their on right. Derek Trucks on slide guitar, and Doyle Bramhall II, playing whatever he wanted. What a concert. It was more of a jam session. Nothing flashy. No show. Just gritty rock, roll and blues. And for the final song of the evening, Robert Cray joined them onstage. Life is good!

I told you once, I will tell you again:

I am absolutely green of envy to your chance to see Derek and Doyle... oh Robert Cray as well?!#$^# $ I think I'm gonna be dizzy...

    you lucky lucky b... man.

    Cheers,
    Nenad.

p.s. I am glad you have enjoyed the show. I really really like those three guys, but don't care much about the big man himself. He's ok, but he cannot touch these guys...

By the time I am no longer a broke college student, there won't be anyone good left to see!

Closest I have ever been to seeing a Clapton concert is watching the One More Car, One More Rider DVD.

    You lucky sob.

I'm so entirely jealous of you. I was going to see him in OKC, but tickets started at $65, and I couldn't justify that times 2.

Actually, although I haven't seen Clapton I was priviledged enough to witness a Dave Matthews acoustic evening with his buddy Tim Reynolds.....and DAMN those people can play. It was the most amazing concert I've seen so far. And like said with Clapton nothing flashy, just two guys with their dreadnought acoustics on stage and nothing else. I'll never forget that concert I'll tell you that.!
