How to shoot but also why you shouldn't use metal targets. X 2

Yeah, i've seen most of those. Easy to find "fail" videos.

I was more interested in the videos that are serious "how to" videos that have questionable content. Anyhoo, don't let me dampen the parade.

SSO=Sword shaped objects*, are only to be looked at. Me and a buddy folded up one of those years ago, luckily it was super soft, not stupid brittle/weak.

Product testing is usually conducted behind closed doors...but then youtube eh?

*just like BSO's (bike shaped-for kids to burn off energy and only on smooth-paved surfaces regardless of "shocks" and knobbies)

and RSO's (only for letter opening, and peanut butter smearing)

    Wade,

My first thought when I saw the title of your thread is that is was going to be a cross of truTV and faces of death.

well that is what the populous is conditioned to. I've not seen either. i added SSO comments above.

The big difference to me is that no-one looks at a "fail" vid and thinks oh, that's how to do that. Maybe I'll try it.

The one i posted up top might lead someone to think they'd actually learned something about welding by watching the video. It's one of those things that is so far off base some of us can't imagine that it was pure ignorance, but alas it appears such. I thought maybe there'd be some other stuff like that out there.

My all time favorite "fail" video is the one where a "person" is trying to parallel park a car.

and finally (some minutes later) the next driver gets out of his car and walks up to "the person's" car and offers to park it. which he does.

Then everybody goes merrily about their way.

Found it. Starts at 0:44 and thank the video gods for editing and time-lapse, it only runs to 1:41.

oh and it's not even a parallel!!! tha's it in the preview window...little car, big space, too hard!

Sorry Wade , the idiot shots are much more memorable. Maybe some of my "how to's" would qualify :<0)
