Thanked: 49Sorry to hear about your friend. The last thing I remember my grandmother saying to me was "life is short" right after we had had a good laugh about something. She was well into her eighties. Absolutely men can cry even though society tells us otherwise. I shed a few tears writing this. You have my sympathies.

Life is short and it's a shame a person can't go out like he came in this world. not know and in the blink of an eye. I was lucky I survived the cancer I had but I kind of know how he feels. my prayers a with you and your friend. God bless and keep you

Doug was blessed to have a good friend like you for all these years.
Calling you to say goodbye is heart wrenching... but he felt strongly enough of your friendship to want to tell you so.
Feel blessed to have know him and remember Doug and he will never leave.
I am sorry and will say a prayer for him, you and his family and friends.

I cry and know I am human. My sympathies pixelfixed. I've been at the brink twice in my life: as a seven year old and again as a 75 year old. My beliefs are with the Universe and I have asked them to ease your friends way to them and to grant you comfort and solace as you think of him. The one thing I have learned in my life is that even with sorrow and loss if you can't laugh at yourself ( and close friends) than what's the use. Remember the good times and the fun times with your friend. It will help you and ease him.
