Thread: saber rattling

I predict a shut down of this thread if the current trend continues.

I was raised to believe that my rights end where the next person's begin. I think that as a society, we have crossed a line where everyone must be legislated to live within the limits of what group 'x' believes. What is wrong accepting people as they are and as they believe? You want to belong to religion 'x', fine. I believe in religion 'y'. Please don't force your belief's/norms on me or my family. That principle is what lead to the creation of this country. Having lost sight of that, is why we are in our current mess.

Religion has NO purpose in governance, unless you live in the Vatican.

You had better start burning all the currency you have or give it back. You know, all that "In God We Trust" rubbish and all. While you're at it, you might want to start pulling up all of those white Crosses and stars of David in Arlington too (You know, Federal Land and all). While you're busy, you need to stop into the House and Senate and tell them that the vaious engravings referencing God need to be removed too. Let them know that they should stop having an opening prayer to God by the Chaplain as well.

And yes, the thread will now probably be locked and I will probably get booted because my opinion differs with a few here. And, I dared to mentioned (gasp) God. The leftists don't want open or free speech, they want to shut up the opposition.

As for god being on the money - that's new! 50s - 60s?? You know - to prove to the commies we were on higher ground. Its a good example though, of exactly what I was talking about - thanks for making it .

There is another motto on our currency. E Pluris Unum- Out of many, one. This us vs. them thinking is contrary to that guiding principle of our country.

No matter how cleverly you sneak up on the mirror, you're reflection always stares you right in the eye. The simple fact is, this country was mostly founded on Christian principles. You can try to run it out of town as much as possible but it will never really go away until we change our form of government.

What is up with the persecution complex? I understand that you are new here and bring a lot of 'baggage', but let me assure you, if you get booted from this site it would have nothing to do with your beliefs.

And what's with you psycho analyzing everything that I have written as if I have some type of baggage. This is the second time you've written it the first being when I merely mentioned how I tested of bevel on a newly honed razor.

Thank you for your assurance boss I'll keep it in mind. I have no baggage, I am merely speaking my mind and my opinions obviously differ with a few of your members here who enjoy trolling. It would be nice to see you or another moderator step in and moderate the discussion instead of picking sides, cajoling, egging other people on. Perhaps that's just too much to ask.

I do not moderate discussions I participate in, for what should be obvious reasons. If you have a complaint to make, please use the 'report post' button and it will be reviewed by the other moderators.
