That's why there's so much debate around the hot-button issues (racism, gun control, climate change, economic policy, etc.), especially among people who aren't directly involved in those fields or events. They simply accept what they're told, without digging for the facts or giving pause to consider the words being spewed at them. They're being, in most cases, sold an emotional argument in order to further the agenda of one side or another, facts and logic be damned.
