Cat On The Attack !!
I saw this today , just thought some here might not have seen it.
A neighbor's dog attacks a little boy & the little boy is saved by his cat.
Caught on home surveillance cameras.
This cat deserves his own fish tank,,,,,

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Best watchdog I ever had was a cat. Could sniff a baddie through a brick wall.

Thanked: 13247I had to watch it a few times yesterday..
The cat was great
The Mom hmmmm she worries me
The kid was great
The dog, that was really just not right, that dog had every intent on killing that kid, that was a predatory stalk and attack, that was not a normal Territorial, or Defensive attack from that dog at least not what I could see, I wish there was sound but it sure didn't look to me like the dog gave any warning...

Dog was definitely on the hunt. No warning bite, sure didn't look like much barking if at all...crazy mutt. I would bet that dog has exhibited some signs of ill behavior in the past, yet there it is running around out front w/o a leash.
I liked cats when I was younger but then have been a full fledged dog dude most of my life...that kitty has rekindled my respect and admiration for the domesticated house cat.
Well done Felix! Well done.Piyush

Thanked: 983I agree that is one damn fine cat...And I'm no cat lover at all. At risk of starting an argument (which is not my intention at all) I don't believe there are bad dogs. Just bad owners. I'm a big one for researching and understanding an animal before bringing one into my home. Every type of (pure breed) dog has different traits that are fairly standard within the breed, and these can be to less or more extent be encouraged or discouraged through training. Sadly for that kid that dog has had it's aggressive traits encouraged by it's owners, or the owners have failed to properly socialise the dog with people. Either way, it should have been secured in its own yard. That's part of responsible ownership.

I saw this on the news. Amazing cat. Animal control did take the dog.
I had a dog and cat as a kid. On two occasions the cat defended my dog when it was over matched by a larger dog.

Thanked: 983That's the bit that always raises my ire in these cases too. Me being a 'blame the owner' sort of person when it comes to these unprovoked attacks, I think the owners should be given the green needle and send the dog off for re-training...But sometimes, and it may be the way of it looking at this video, the dog might be past re-training and would also cop the green needle.
I'm thinking now that maybe a cat would be a nice addition...If my dog would let it get past kitten-hood without trying to eat it for breakfast. He hasn't really been socialised with cats, but he's been put in his place once or twice and I did manage to call him off the chase with one once. Now that was a sight to see. Boy oh boy I've never seen the dog, or the cat for that matter, run so fast like that again.
