AFAIK they still do that. It was on the news last year. the ARAs follow the hunters 'to bear witness' or something but they are not allowed to intervene.

They even showed footing during the news, so I think that baby seals are still being clubbed to death.

I was pretty sure that happened, too, Bruno, but I couldn't remember for certain. I know there was a hubub about it, but couldn't remember if it was the ARA's trying to prevent it (with old footage) or that seal clubbing was back in full swing (no pun intended). Seems to me it was 2 years ago, though.

I believe it's very likely you've been mislead. I encourage you to find and provide some, any proof. I saw that on the news last year too and they were adult seals.

There you could be right. I know baby seals were mentioned because the whole point of clubbing is that the skin is not damaged, and baby skins are of higher quality than those of adults because of less wear.

Since you are a vegitarian I suspect you have your facts better organized than I have.
