Thank you Bill,,,, we(our family) are always ready,,, common sense stuff.
The neighbor lady came to me today, asking how to handle this type of situation. her husband is a Merchant Marine, out to sea now,,, she is pregnant, due in 6 weeks, has a toddler too, just had her 1st birthday.
We have enough to carry that family through also, but I just got back from the store with a container of the basics for her to have as her own. Saturday I will have to give her a mini-class on the hurricane preps.

EDIT: published in the 40's or early 50's. Some info is dated, i.e. ignore some of the insecticide info like DDT. Some of the price references are hilarious today.

DDT related?: I have used diluted Ballistol sprayed (it's non-toxic) for insect control on my fruit trees. Might work in the garden, too. Not sure why I haven't done that yet. Worked great on the fruit trees.

Prep for Life. or Not, it is up to you. No one can prep for everything.

People that used to call me crazy now come to me for advice, on prepping, weapons, tactics, etc.
