    As has been pointed out. Freedom isn't 'free' it comes with the highest price there is. My old friend
    Owen Agenbroad said in an interview about his time in the battle for Iwo Jima;

    The heroes are the fallen, those who would die for a cause, valor or extreme accomplishment. The ones who stepped forward and did what was necessary.

    “John 15:13 says, ‘Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends".

    We Yanks are far from perfect! But I'm Proud to call myself an American.

    As an American and a Vet I offer my thanks to those who appreciate the blood that we've spilled, the children, husbands, wives, brothers and sisters that we've lost and the efforts that we've made to at least try to help others.

    With a little luck America will be doing alright and helping as best as we can far after I'm dead and buried.

    May Freedom Always Reign.

    Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

    No mate. No fireworks for me. It was the only time in my travels around the US that it rained like that too. Still, I can't complain about any of my experiences while there. Rain or not.
