Default The World IP War - Internet Attacks in Real Time

Fascinating little bit of the interwebs....watch real-time IP attacks, where they originate, and where they're targeted.

Lot of attacks from China against the USA.

edit: the internet is becoming, more and more, a "battlefield" of sorts, needless to say, the implications are far reaching.

I'm not so worried Phrank,,, I've got a can of raid for the Crawler Bots, spray the inside of the computer once a month.
As for Cyber Internet raids,,, I just turn the monitor off when I go to bed, so they can't get in,,, if they're stupid enough to try it while the monitor is on,,, well I got the ole 1911 within reach,,,,

LOL - these aren't PC based attacks...these are institutional based attacks. For instance attacks on Western governments, banks, Stock Exchanges, military, even down to infrastructure as well.

For instance, if an intrusion/attack can gain access to a small computer system of the local power company in a small city or town, and that is also networked to the larger grid, then further access and control of systems can also be gained and then you have the potential for some serious stuff to start happening. Just takes a couple of breakers to get switched and suddenly you've got a chain reaction, a lot like what happened to the East Coast in 2003, now this was not caused by an computer attack, but the principle is there, "the blackout's primary cause was a software bug in the alarm system at a control room":

Oh NO.....Hirlau, you didn't go to that website did you? Now you're infected with a virus.....But don't worry, a nice gentleman will be ringing shortly who will be able to fix it for you. All you have to do is hand over your credit card details...
