Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Sad news, forgot how old he was. I guess we are all getting on. Time flies.

His health comeback in the mid to late 2000's was amazing, his former manager basically kept him a drugged-up slave for years, his new manager/bandmate slowly weaned him off everything without Johnny's knowledge and told him one Christmas that he had been straight (Methadone for 30 years) for a few months. He was an amazing guitar player.

Boy! Was not a fan as I was young, don't know why. Not as mainstream as most. They play his rifts on public radio here on weekends. Amazing stuff. Great talent. RIP, Johnny.

He was 70. Died in Zurich of unknown causes. Was doing a tour and had just performed in Austria.

If you love the blues, you have to love Johnny Winter's guitar riffs!

Johnny may you rest in a well deserved peace. Thanks for sharing your talent.
