Saw this in the morning paper http://www.chroniclejournal.com/news...-high-winnipeg . For the metric impaired that is a hair under 60 feet high. Hard to believe.

I know what you mean but for me it's second "Pot" of coffee

It's articles like that that remind me I do in fact live in paradise. I know there are guys on the board that live in hot dry spots that never get snow, but it's not hot and dry here and there is not really much for snow in the winter. It works for me!

Yea, you don't have to shovel rain but man I hate having web feet.

It's a temperature issue for me. Plus if I worked at a station like Gimlley I don't think I could take it. It only snows when it is cold out plain and simple. I don't mind it when it is at my convenience but I do choose the rainy winter and above freezing temperatures. My job has me traveling at between 30 and 40 mph in an open boat. there is nothing that would make me want to do that at -20.

Yea, you have to pick your poison as you can't have it all in this land. On the bright side there ain't many boats doing 30-40 mph at -20 on the frozen lakes here. Lots of Ski Doos going ice fishing though.

Yup fresh water freezes that's for sure. The tides are less of a consideration too!
