A fine, fine actress, who happened to be beautiful, when there were some. Another broken mold. RIP

She certainly was a one-off with that husky voice and up-from-under good looks:

That era with its detective, crime and film noir movies, classy music, fantastic fashion and zest for life was a golden age. The novels of Raymond Chandler and Dashiel Hammet, the look of those sultry beautiful women, actors like Bogart, James Cagney, George Raft, the iconic b&w Hollywood photography by George Hurrell and the spirit of the age - all but gone. Sadly, Betty Bacall's passing makes it a bit more distant...

In sad homage to one of the silverscreen's greats,
    Neil

What a great era in film it was. Looking at the scene in original post ....... the sexuality is intense, yet so much more artful than the 'in your face' (no pun) stuff of more recent times.

A classy lady in the golden age of films that fit her like a glove. May you rest in eternal peace Ms. Bacall. Thank you for the many wonderful memories that you leave us with.

You all know these things happen in 3s. I would expect another personality to pass in the next week or so.
