Looks like a nice supper. Florida doesn't really have streams and the canals often impart a distinctive mud-like flavor, so keeping a meal of perch or bass isn't my norm. Many of the canals have less than ideal water flow, and almost all of them are overrun with exotics. For any quality freshwater fishing I prefer Lake Okeechobee, about an hour north of me.

I grew up in South Florida, and find the perspective and methods from other areas very interesting. Few things in this world are as peaceful as fly fishing. As i have grown older I find my preference moving toward lighter and lighter tackle, and my next tackle purchase will probably be an 8wt fly setup to fish for bonefish. I cannot honestly say that I have ever longed to ice fish though, as I am not a cold weather type.

Thanks to all for sharing a part of area for us to enjoy!
