Thread: Joan Rivers, RIP

I just read that Joan Rivers passed today at 81. I don't know about anyone else, but to me she is the last of the great insult comedians. It takes a special skill to insult any one, any thing, any place and have them give you a standing ovation for doing it. Outrageous, yes. Too much plastic surgery, yes. Comments designed to shock even the unflappable, yes. She walked a line close to obscenity but, as far as I can remember, never crossed it. I'm sure that when where she is now realized that she had moved in probably said, there goes the neighborhood while their property values went up.

Sad one of the greatest comments she ever made was: I have had so much plastic surgery, when I die they will donate my body to tupperware

She was one sharp lady talk about a mind like a razors edge I really enjoyed her filthy mind and razor sharp wit R.I.P Joan.

Wow, one funny lady gone. Between her and Robin Williams, it must be a laugh riot in heaven!

Literally just read the news...she was fantastic...old school, back in the day when people had a thick skin and could handle some adult humor.

I thought she was hilarious....she will be missed.

Self deprecating with a biting wit. She had no illusions about herself and when she was done nobody had any illusions about themselves either. Gonna miss her, RIP

Very Sad. Her non pc approach in such a pc dominated world was a breath of fresh air, thoughts with the family. Rip.
