Flight cancelled due to birds!!!
Well of all the things...today my flight got cancelled because a flock of birds flew into the planes engine during take off and bent the blades on the turbine!
How does a bird not notice a freakin jet???
So, here I am stuck in south beach, which isnt a bad place to be...except when you have to explain to your wife that you are stuck in south beach during the time spring break is happening and your excuse is that a flock of birds ran into your plane....

Thanked: 1Could be animal testing. Of course, I don't think it's the strength of the blades that need improving. The airline needs to get some coticules or Nortons and hone those blades up. That way, the birds get sliced cleanly, the damage is minimal to the blade and with a Tony Miller 3ft wide #1 United strop the airline will be up and running in no time. Less flight delays, you see.
Yes, I know..go to bed Steve.
In all seriousness, when will you be able to get another flight?

Well I was going to stay in the keys for the weekend...but my wife called me and said she had found a flight with one seat open lol, so I got home tonight. I tried to convince her to fly down and stay with me instead of me coming to her, but she had some plans tonight.
It is nice to be home, but the weather in the keys is better...I'll get her down there later this month hopefully.

Thanked: 324Just goes to prove the old adage: "eagles may soar but weasels never get sucked into jet engines".
