Shutterbugs
All right all you camera afficianados out there. I acted a little impulsively after many hours of research. Look at what I got and tell me what you think please.

Thanked: 0Hey X,
I have that same camera. I bought it about half a year ago. So far no complaints.
Its a great camera with great features, including a fully manual setting if you really want to play around with it. The video is decent too.
You should be able to take great pics of your razors with it!
Enjoy!

Thanked: 0My current occupation, aside from student, is camera salesman. I highly recommend the A540 by Canon. It will last you many years, and because it has a longer zoom than most, it is really convenient. Good buy!

I was looking at the Canon S2 and the G3 as well, but figured they were definitely more than I needed. I'm just a tourist.

Thanked: 0The G3 also offers less resolution, I believe. The newest and best in the G series is the G7, way more camera than most consumers need. The A series is a good balance of ease-of-use and creative control.

Great camera at a great price. I would say if you wanted to ever step up then go with the a G series like mentioned before, but if your just a tourist, then this should do you well. I highly recommend the Canon Selphy printer to go with it. I got it for my brother for Christmas about a year ago. Print quality is great and I believe the paper is archival so, prints will last. Great buy.

X,
Nice choice. I've played with a couple of these cameras, and they're excellent.
I just broke down and bought a Nikon D-70. I'm looking into doing some architectural photography on the side--taking pictures of homes for real estate agents who understand that people buy houses from the pictures online these days...
Before that I was considering the Canon A series as well as Panasonic's Luminex series.

The little guy arrived today and it does look good so far. I've burned up the included batteries already playing around with some of the settings. Still have a lot to figure out with it. Wait till the wife gets home. She still doesn't know I bought it. I've spent the last week asking her about the features she thinks are important to have and telling her we can't afford them.
