Thanked: 1No, but if you have a simple question or two (simple - auto repair, yeah right) I'll be happy to ask my father in law. He has owned a shop for 40+years and is considered among the best mechanics in RI.
Now, if you just want to know how to get that Prius of your started: just replace the 2 AA batteries

Steve, I have a basic to intermediate knowledge --- I just want to learn more.
It must be nice having such a mechanic available to ya --- did he put you through the ropes when you were dating your wife? --- I always feel like I should know more about cars.

Hey Justin,
This is a forum for some Japanese cars, they may have some info you need, take a peek:

Thanked: 1He came in handy when my wife and I moved to Missouri. We couldn't find a good mechanic early on so we'd call him and say "the car is doing such and such". He'd tell us what the problem was most likely going to be and about how much we should expect to spend.
Later on, he helped us find a good mechanic and I had complete trust in. On one of his visits to us, I introduced him to this mechanic and they had a grand time together.
No, he never worried about me knowing anything about cars. He was/is always a phone call away and my wife and her two sisters worked in the shop from time to time while growing up. All 3 daughters had something of a basic knowledge by the time they graduated high school.
Have you Googled anything yet?
