Nothing wrong with a fear mentaltiy when it comes down to uncurable, highley contagous Dieseases.
Think spanish flu in the early 1900s,killed 100s of thousands,think bubonic plague,killed millions in europe,think polio in the U.S,maimed 10s of thousands,ever seen an Iron Lung? I have, hundreds of them.
Ever use the wipes at the grocery store to wipe the cart handle? you should,hundreds of people handle them every day
Iron lungs... I also remember them. I had nightmares about them!
Having survived SARS a decade ago, and the subsequent SARS-stock rock revival tour in the aftermath, and the fact that I am the eternal optimist and firmly believe we shall overcome this current viral crisis I am already saving up for Ebola-palooza tickets.
Maybe Sting will play.
On another forum I am on there is a missionary who is in West Africa. She has been predicting this will continue to become worse in that part of the world. Says that people native to that region are very 'touchy feely'. They hug and kiss on the cheeks when greeting, count money licking their fingers. When a family member dies they tend to the body, wash it, braid hair ..... that type of thing. Maybe that behavior will change as time goes on.
Heard a report on the news today that when the fellow that died was being treated by the nurses in Dallas, there was no protocol. This is a sort of learn as we go type of crisis. God willing we'll have a vaccine sooner than later.

On the local news this morning, I heard that a family had been in isolation for 21 days here at Carswell JRB. They were declared OK for the the general population yesterday as they had shown no signs of infection.
21 days? My timeline is fuzzy at the moment but when SUPPOSEDLY did patient No 1 enter the US to die?
I'm thinking this mess is a LOT bigger than they are willing to admit.
Think about the havoc that ONE unknowingly infected food service worker could create. That knot head at the CDC needs to worry about the potential damage to the GDP here at home first if that's his major concern.
Precautions are not listed by specific virus etc. For examples there are Airborne, Droplet, and Contact.Quote:

I am a big privacy advocate and I don't care who you are etc. But in my position I should know what I am dealing with. If you don't trust me find someone else.
