Thanked: 884R.I.P Henry Zoch III
Hell of a young man, was a block away when the bombs went off in Boston. Taken down in the prime of his life by a stupid woman running a stop sign at 70 plus.
He will be missed.
His pastor Brad Graves wrote a beautiful eulogy.
In 25 years in ministry I just witnessed one of the most heart wrenching and wonderful moments all wrapped up in to one. Henry Zoch III was tragically taken from this earth a few days ago in an auto accident. The doctors believe the moment of impact took his life. The amazing team of medical professionals from the EMT's to the nurses, doctors and staff nurtured and took care of him. He's been on life support since he arrived at the hospital. Henry was a MEGA MARATHONER! He ran 100 miles cross country numerous times, 50 miles... (The 26.2 marathons were just mere training for him), he ran and ran and ran. It's estimated that he has run 4000 + miles. He served 8 years in the Marine Corps and served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, I believe I heard his family say. His Dad told me that Henry was fascinated with neuroscience. At one point he wanted to go into the field but at this point never has. He has studied it for years. He was meticulous with everything in life. After the service he became an accountant and continued his self study of neuroscience. There's no doubt of what kind of man he was. He was not human, he was super human! Not only did he sign his name on the dotted line, (made payable to the USA; what I use to think was the ultimate human sacrifice, until today) when he joined our military, he was also an organ donor. Right now as I'm typing this, Henry Zoch III is in surgery, today dozens of people will get a second chance on life. In moments beepers will be going off all over this region and state, people will be rushing to the hospital to get a transplant. Tonight someone will have the heart of a hero, there not just getting a heart, they're receiving a super human heart, the heart of an american soldier, mega Marathoner... A couple of people will receive the lungs of a hero, as a matter of fact, they will be able to harvest EVERY major organ, plus other important life saving parts for transplant. The medical team said he's the fittest and healthiest they've ever seen. Wow, I'm overwhelmed! What a gift. Did I mention, today is Henry's 33rd birthday? It's gonna be the greatest birthday present for many tonight. To the recipients, may you live your life to the fullest, may you cherish the gift of life and may you run the good race, God Speed. Henry, I can't wait to run with you in Heaven. I salute you sir, you died as you lived, a true hero. Please pray for Christina Turtledove Sanders and family, Henry was her baby brother. Please help me share this story.
