Thanked: 2Hi, I have been a member of the forum for over six months. Welcome. I am sure that you will find it to be very helpful. During the time I have been here I have learnt a lot, met many great people (online) and developed my skills with a straight.
There are quite a few people from Australia here.
Enjoy

Thanked: 1587G'day Mate!!
Howdy pardner!
As Justin says, they keep trying to get rid of us, but we stand firm. Actually, watch out for Justin - self-confessed Aussie-hater, with absolutely no sense of humour. The guy's a robot...
Anyway, nice to have you on board. Anything we can do to help, just ask.

As James says the closest thing I have to a "sense of humour" is a "sense of humor" ---can somebody please tell what the damn extra 'u" is for --- why don't we just tack an extra "u" to everything ---let's see "Juustin" maybe "Justiun" --piss --- any other letter's I'm not aware of?
Welcome aboard Johnny --- (if you have a sister that looks like Elle MacPherson, PM me)

The Aussies and their sheep ---(or is that New Zealanders ?) --- I'm not quite sure what a top paddock is -- but I'm more than a few sheep short -- maybe a top paddock too.
Later, John and Johnny

In Australian and New Zealand English, any agricultural field may be called a paddock.
In other countries it is known as something else................
Coastal plain
Flooded grasslands and savannas
Flood-meadow
Grassland
Meadow
Pasture
Plain
Plateau
Prairie
Savanna
Steppe
Water-meadow
Wet meadow
Veld

Thanked: 0Thanks for the response.
Thanks for the response. It is good to see that there are other Australians that are into this old form of shaving too. I just recently discovered it, when I travelled and went to Geo. F. Trumper in London and had a real shave (what an experience).
Thanks to John, drsh3, Terry and James, and Justin too, even though you are not an Australian. I don't really know what you are doing in here (Justin), but it seems like you have a lot of time.
I hope I can learn and get to know other people in here and get some good tips of what to use and where to get things. I really hoped to find Trumper shave soaps here in Australia, but I have so far only found a couple of places which has it. They also have some straight razors, but I don't really know what I shall look for. Any good advice here?
thanks Johnny
