    Oh yes. They were miserable! I was there shortly after they marched a group of recruits into the swamp. ( Platoon 104) DI's got away with a lot more than your son can now days. I don't envy him but I do respect him. I am a Marine until I die and so will he be. Tell him thx for his service, it means so much to all of us

    Thank You sir I will tell him. He can't do crap compared to what you endured back then and my dad endured in WWII.
    Now the DI's are not supposed to curse, can't take food off a recruits plate, can't follow them into the showers, etc, etc.
    Thanks to the Concerned Mothers of America our Marines are being trained like sissies compared to how it used to be. It's sad.
