    Congratulations for your successful landing on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko after a ten year, 300,000,000+ mile trip, and for doing the final approach on freaking AUTOPILOT!

    May the rest of the mission be as successful!

    Yes - fascinating...been watching as well...but those darn harpoons didn't fire...knew they should have used tape!

    It was certainly an ambitious project. Not a total success, sadly, but otoh a great achievement to have it done on autopilot, with mechanical components that have been stationary and shut down for 15 years in extremely harsh environments.

    One thing I find awesome is that we have left something we made on that comet, which may be observed by some other civilization 1000s of years from now, proving to them that Aliens exist. Granted, the odds are very small, but think about the reverse: wouldn't it be amazing if we at one point found indisputable alien artifacts zooming by
