You use the same tactic as the people who made the 911 thing. By asking 'why' many times, you make people believe that the X happened because you make them think about 'why'. They skip the part where they ask themselves whether X actually happened.
You can make anything and everything sound like a conspiracy:
Oswald may or may not have shot JFK. The story there is dodgy enough that it may have been someone else. But to assume that this is a huge conspiracy that involved dozens or hundreds of participants is a bit much. The lid would have been blown off by now.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
