Looking great!! Bet it sets a fantastic tone!

Hey - quick and odd question. I read in a PR journal someplace (or was it facebook lol?) that you should always place a mirror behind the returns desk in a retail setting. They say you should do that because people don't want to see themselves being jerks llol (generally speaking people returning things are in battle mode). Sounded like a reasonable assumption.

Your clients are always behind a mirror. Do find that generally speaking, they are always reasonable?

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Maybe not so much in the barber business because we demand $ for a service. Our customers sometimes feel very comfortable critiquing our work. When folks demand $ back for something they aren't happy with, the story turns south. Exactly what us barbers try to avoid. On the other hand, I have some customers who would rather not look in the mirror after a haircut. They either trust my work or else they let their wives decide! Lol!

    That's just outright ...awesome !!
I love it when the small places you visit (Barber shop , small mom & pop book stores etc.) display their Christmas cheer for all to see. I'm a Christmas baby , so it makes it even cooler for me.

After seeing your shop and Hirlau's recent find, I think I will commit to finding a real barbershop near me.

Thanks for the kind words you guys! "Old fashioned" and "traditional" are how I like my barber shops AND my holidays. I think it's imporant to preserve these things in our communities.

Rolodave, I hope you find one soon! We'll be waiting for a report!
