Thanked: 2027Is freakin stupid, what we should do with all these detainees,(like in Quantanamo) is take them for a boat ride.
Shoot them in the back of the head, let the fish eat them, never say a word, nobody would ever know what became of them, end of problem.CAUTION

If you had lost your beagle in Nebraska, you could have seen him for 3 days after you lost him.

When we were attacked on 911 we needed info. As a tax payer and citizen of the USA I really didn't care how they got it and really don't care what happens to the enemy that attacked civilians in the trade centers that day. Politian's only care about getting re-elected it's the people and military that pay the price. Oliver North told them all long before 911 happened that Osama binloden should have been taken out then. they should have listen to him and because of that thousands of good people civilians as well as the military have lost there lives and worse. I would apologize for my comment but that's the way I see it and I've never been able to keep my mouth (in this case my fingers) shut.

I understand how you feel. I respect your anger. But aren't you glad we are a nation of laws? To do as you say, makes us no better. Do you not see that?
I hate Guantanamo too. I mean kidnaping people in a foreign country and detaining them in another, without trial... is uncivilized. It would have been better to just shoot em where we found them.
Rights apply to all or none. That really is the bottom line. isn't it?David

The problem with that is many of them were just kidnapped by people in Pakistan to be turned in for the bounty that was paid for them, no questions asked. Bring us a likely looking suspect, tell us a good story and we will give you a lot of American dollars.
I hope that we can reclaim our moral high ground someday after putting this sad episode behind us. I learned a lot attending a "special survival school." One lesson that applies here, when being beat upon you will tell them whatever you think they want to hear in order to stop the mistreatment. The easy road is rarely rewarding.
