Thread: Love this dog of ours

This is Tasha, our almost 12 year old American Pit Bull Terrier mix.
We adopted her almost 8 years ago and she has been the best dog I have ever had or come across.

I am happy for you and the dog. My dog is a self-centered 80 pound moron, counter surfer. Her feet and nose are too big, legs too long and bark too loud. Incredibly she is not for sale. Yet.

Doesn't have the sense to keep her fangs tucked in and sleep rightside up. Eats too much.

I have met a lot of really smart, sweet pit bulls, Staffordshires, Dobermanns, whatever. I have also met a handful of owners who didn't have the sense God gave a goose when it comes to raising, training and managing a breed that will often dominate to fill a vacuum. Did Tasha arrive a sweetheart at age four or did it take some work?

She has been that way since we brought her home. She was a favorite with the people at the animal shelter.
