Thread: Prayers and thoughts for my Mother's passing

My condolences for your loss Mike.

This life is not the end. And even though at times we suffer sudden and horrible loss of life in this world as our mortal bodies fail, still the sheer power of the ALMIGHTY and HIS resurrection is a absolute truth and reality. It is written in Thessolonians about those who have passed and The Return of the Lord:


…"16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words."

This is a powerful event that without doubt will come to pass. And sometimes the passing of a loved one can be a prompting to focus on the eternal and wonderful powers of The Most High GOD and Father of Jesus Christ. And also our responsibilities due those truths while we are here.

I understand what you're going through. I lost my father in October. In my case I take comfort in the fact he lived 99 very healthy and active years almost to the end.
