    One of my favorites has passed away, according th the BBC.
    A fine musician and a character.

    Loved him back in the day! Sad news indeed...I remember Woodstock like it was yesterday!

    Died way too young at age of 70 due to lung cancer so I read. He'll be missed for sure.

    Always like Joe. Sang with great feeling. An extraordinary song writer. Won't be any more like him, IMO.
