Default "The Devil's Brigade" - Honoured

Two Canadian members of the legendary, "Devil's Brigade" were given the United States of America's highest civilian award for their service in this legendary American and Canadian unit from the Second World War, "that was the precursor to both countries’ modern special forces."

Here's the article in the Toronto Star:

And of course, the legendary movie about the unit, "The Devil's Brigade", the Canadians arrive...classic scene.

Yes, they so richly deserve a big BZ for their service. It saddens me to think that it came far too late for too many of the members to enjoy. I recall a Devils Brigade reunion being held in Thunder Bay years ago.

I remember the breakfast scene when the big Canadian mopped up a few of the US troops.

Probably right. Have not seen the movie in a very long time.

So many great actors in that film . . . I think Claude Akins might be the only one left, and I'm not sure about him.
