Disciple? Not a chance . . . but Carlin DID have a way with words. No, I am more skeptic than cynic . . . even if we detonated all of our remaining nuclear warheads around all of the oil fields, chemical plants, etc so as to cause the most damage possible, the Earth would survive it. Changed and damaged, but intact and better prepared to heal itself, as we would no longer be in the way.

Exactly, Carlin had a routine about plastic and how deluded we are thinking we have to save the world from plastic, same idea.
