Default Made my little girl a coin ring

Used a Murcury dime(90% silver) to make a ring for my little princess. I drilled a hole in the center and mounted the dime on a bolt. I rotated it while tapping the edge with a hammer until it was wide enough and about the size I was aiming for. I put the bolt on a drill and sanded with 600 and 1000 grit sand paper. The hole was drilled out larger and I ground the center out with a dremel. Sanded the inside and polished everything with emery and green rouge with the dremel. It's a little loose on her middle finger(just what I was aiming for) so she can grow into it. Turned out great and my little girl loves it.

That is most intriguing. I'm impressed.

Great idea for your little girl. It will always be a treasure coming from Dad.

Very nice. I have been wanting to try that. The idea of turning a coin inside out without breaking it seems interesting.

I remember my Dad telling of soldiers making rings from 1/2 dollars. I was never sure how they got a hole in the middle.

Yours came out great. Nice job and I am sure she will love it.

This doesn't have much to do with the topic, well maybe however you all know that the Texas Rangers Badges are made from a Silver Mexican Peso. I have a replica of one but I'm too lazy to take a picture of it. It's illegal to have in Texas.
