The wait
I won a Henkel off the bay last week and have been waiting patently for it to arrive. well not really my wife says I have all the patents I was born with cause I've used none of it. I have been watching the shipping no. and all the places it has gone. it was suppose to have been here Friday but has taken a sight seeing trip. it got as close as Memphis then it took a side trip to north Carolina. the last time this happened it took almost 3 weeks for a first class package to get to me. the lady at the post office can't believe i'm still laughing about all this. Well it's not a matter of life or death and we do have fun ck ing on it and betting on which direction it will go next. we all have to think of the volume of pcs that the postoffice deals with. the percentage of mistakes really aren't that high.

Thanked: 4827I have a Henckels enroute too. Not that I needed one. The sad part is it is my second in that grind and I did not even get it at a bargain. I was hoping it was going to be here on Saturday. Maybe tomorrow, if not I will check again on Saturday, we only get mail twice a week. It's funny how they go on tour sometimes. I had a wet saw blade from California once that was back and forth between Canada and the Us and went as far east as Memphis. It took forever but apparently it had a good trip. One of the big shockers was the package was in good shape. You would think that after all that it would have shown a lot of wear. I hope yours is there soon!

Thanked: 4827Sometimes I think that is part of the fun in buying from abroad. I have been being really well behaved lately on the purchasing. I can't wait for your pictures

I purchased my first Straight from SRD which, iirc, is in Ohio. From there it went via USPS to MI, NY, PA and finally to me in Ontario, where Customs held it for almost a week.
I have shipped something locally (distance travelled 26 km) that took EIGHT days to get to it's intended destination.
And yeah . . . I stalk the tracking information on the reg.
