Thread: International Postage Rate, etc....

Looks like International rates are going to take a big hit on May 6th. While the USA rates will be higher, a previously $8.10 Flat Rate Priority box will go to over $9.00 International will go up even more. Global Priority, the most economical is supposed to now start at $16 or more. That is a sizable jump.

I know it was already difficult for our non-USA friends to buy from the States but this won't help at all.

Air mail is a good alternative for international buyers. Yes, it's a bit slower, but normally far cheaper. I ship via Global Priority to most buyers (for the few items I've sold), but use airmail to my extended family in Germany for larger items. - John

Even the classes of International mail are changing this time with Global Priority being done away with. I used to use Airmail Parcel Post and found it much more money to use but it did have an insurance option.
We will see what the details are when the new rates are easier to find on the USPS website .
