Bill, that is a terrible story. The car is nothing, it car be fixed. The time spent healing instead of enjoying your self is the real loss. I hope this is the last of you and ladders. I thought this was going to be another and then the ladder slipped stories, they are very common. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope the drugs get tossed fairly quickly.

I deal with chronic back problems that will worsen as i age. Lower spinalosis, cervical spinal degeneration. Had a nerve get pinched in the c7 back in aug 2014 couldn't look up or lift my blade swinger. But im back, for the most part. Prayers to you sir
I wish you a speedy recovery Bill, your absolutlry right we need to be careful at our age , because of things like this, in my last 4-5 years I couldn't go up in the Derrick anymore , leaning out , or standing too quick sometimes got me dizzy , and not much to hang on to up there. You were in the medical field I won't even pretend to tell you what to look out for and I wish you all the speed in healing. Get well my friend. Tc

Ouch, indeed. Sorry to hear of your accident but I suppose you should be thankful - the outcome could have been far worse. I'm glad to hear that you can still shave and hope that you have a full recovery.

My grandmother used to climb ladders to rake snow off of her roof in Minnesota winters until she was in her late 70's.
