I know the feeling! We were door to door water in Houston this morning. Thank goodness it abated some as it did.
    Where are you?

Good planning kept your damage slight so far Tom! Right on sir. Clever use of blocks and tile.

Thanks! I have lived in this house since 1984, Mike. It has been this bad at my street only a few times over the years and that was tropical storms.
Our fine city is allowing any vacant or good-sized lot to be developed with multi-story houses you cannot swing a hammer in between. They will tear down a traditional home and build 4 or 6 on the lot.

Without any improvements in drainage and infrastructure, I fear things will only get worse.

Hopefully, I am out of here within a few years.

Ah well. It's something no matter where you live, I suppose.

    Hey Tom...
You could always move up here near Mike and myself... It only lasts about 5-6 months out of the year.
