Size: 16.4 KB I've been waiting on the Henckel for a little over a week now and to make matters worse out of habit I bid on this wosty last night and to my surprise won it. now it's going to be fun to see which one gets here first. the henckel is coming from Russia and the wosty is from here in the usa. You know it looks like i'd learn.

Those are both very nice. I do not have any thin Henckels. I may have to get some. The scales on that Wosty are nice. I have several old English blades in Ivory but the don't look like they fit the razors that well. I will post a picture tonight.

I have one Tuckmar 4/8 and it shave very good and one Wade and butcher 4/8 it shaves good. both are round points. The henckel should do well the other henckels I have are good shavers. I saw the Wosty on the bay and it had no bids on it. it looked like it had some surface rust on it but nothing that wouldn't go away with a little elbow grease and light sand paper. as far as the scales I don't know what there made of and want until I get it. I didn't see any chips or cracks in either side os maybe they'll be good. I do kind of like the stile of the blade. it's suppose to be 6/8.
Oh and I haven't gotten up the nerve to hone the Henckel 14 yet. It's about the best looking razor I have. don't want to ruin it.

I think those scales are ivory. It is a nice looking razor. I have a pair of Herder 4/8 shoulder less that are very nice shavers. If you are worried about honing the 14 send it out and make it your new benchmark. There must be guys that hone that make you curious what it would be like to shave with one of their edges.

I am thinking those will both be worth the wait. Let us know when they make an appearance.

I got the Henckel 4/8 today and it looks to the eye as never been used. When I get a chance I will look at the razor under magnification and see if it's been honed or other evidence of use. Really good find for what wanted. now waiting on the wosty. maybe Monday.
