    Sigh...

Mike, you have no idea how much I'd love to come over to get my hands dirty...
But flying from Belgium to the USA costs between 700 - 1000$ depending on the specifics (dates and location).

Yes honey, but we are going to smelt metal. you know.. SMELT METAL!! it'll be cool.. no?!?

But if I would visit the states (chances are that might happen in the next couple of years, could I drop by to have a look-see?
Once you are already in the states, making a detour isn't that expensive.

SE Minnesota, no kidding? If it's on a weekend, I'm totally making the 4-hour drive to see this (and help if needed/possible)!!

12 hours for me, but it's also an excuse to see the fiancee, and meet folks, so no big deal. Would love to come to the October burn.

I will start working on contact info and getting a copy of the flyer, then. It's a very nice venue, an old grist mill down along a trout stream, plenty of camping and places to stay. John uses it as a blacksmithing school. Hopefully the potter's will show up this year and cook some clay too. Good food and not so expensive as seminar costs could be.

I'd be willing to bet that most of the smiths would be happy to hold still for a lecture on the finer points of razors. By the way, show and tell is obligatory...
